Creative.

It is a word that has been attached to me for my entire life. Writing, music, photography…and art. Lots and lots of art. Give me some materials, and I will create something.
Watercolour began to become a main focus within the last five years. After years of playing and experimenting with all types of mediums, I found a home with watercolour.
Ever since I was a young boy, photography was a part of my life. Some of the images I have seen register strongly, and many compel me to attempt to capture them with paint.
I hope you enjoy my work.

I have been a resident of the city of Oshawa, Ontario, since August of 1997. Our community includes the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, a wonderful public gallery for the city.

In September 2014, I entered the Oshawa Art Association’s 46th Annual Juried Art Exhibition. It was my very first art show. Approximately 70-80 pieces are accepted each year out of an average of about 200 amateur entries.

My painting “Woman on Stairs” was accepted for this show. Thrilled by having been accepted into the competition, I was amazed when I received the Silver Award, given for placing second among all of that year’s entries.

In September 2015, the Oshawa Juried Art Exhibition accepted two of my paintings. I received awards for them both! “Young Lad in Bowler Hat” won in the People/Figures category and “Cat and Dragonfly” took the award in the Animals group.

I had two entries accepted in 2016 and one other in 2017. In April 2018, I once again received the award in the People/Figures group for my painting of “The Dogcatcher”. I am tremendously fortunate to have received such recognition from the Oshawa Art Association so soon in my gallery experiences. I am honoured and grateful.
